Blade 400

Blade 400

Postby my_katamari » Wed Apr 24, 2013 8:05 pm

A couple weeks ago I bought a used HobbyZone Super Cub LP + DX4e with no lipo, then I traded that a few days later for TWO Blade 400's + DX6i + parts with no lipos. Last time I flew a helicopter was about 8 months ago with a Blade 120 SR. Im not too sure if I'm in over my head with these 400's. I know how to fly to a point. Now crashing a bigger heli is a little more scary... Thoughts?

I learned to hover with a Blade SR and forward flight with a Trex 450 Sport. I have read the Blade 400 is a better CP Heli than the SR. You should come out to the fun fly Sunday afternoon with the 400's and learn to hover. I recommend a set of training gear on the heli when you start. A collective pitch heli is a step up from the Blade 120 SR, but with patience and practice you will learn to fly the 400's. Good Luck!

I have to wait for my lipos from Saskatoon to come in some time this week, I ordered a couple Thunder Power 3S 2250mAh. I don't have any batteries at the moment. I'd like to try outdoor flying first before I take it inside to a gym so I don't have to worry about others or my own aircraft heading into someone elses space. Do you have any ideas of the flight time you got on your T-rex 450?
